Counting

December 1st marks the first day of summer here.

There are 2 and half weeks left before I finish up work for the year. It is 23 days before I leave for San Fran.

This is also the first week of V being away.

Is it weird to miss her already?

Because I do.

Ah...summer...It's truly winter here...

I don't think it's weird to miss her already. But I do hope you're totally looking forward to your trip, too!

I don't think that's at all weird, sometimes the first week or so is the toughest, because it seems so long, and you have nothing new going on yet. Once your trip starts you'll have loads to take your mind off it a little bit. Stay safe PB,

I agree with Lola. I think the first week or so will be the toughest. I'm glad you're so excited about your trip.

Nah, it's not weird to miss her already. I'm glad work has been busy, fabulous distraction. Yea for SF! <3 BL

I don't think that it is weird. I start missing my therapist even before he is gone and while in session. By the time I get home from the last session, I ache from missing him. I'm glad that you are going to be busy with some fun things. Hang in there. I know it is tough, but you will find that you are stronger than you think you are...just tell me to shut up! LOL!!

No, of course it is not weird to miss V. I have missed my therapist before she has actually left before. It is the one person in the world that I can completely be myself with, warts and all!

Hope you enjoy summer. I am a winter girl myself so in heaven right now. 32 degrees outside. Now if it would just snow!

Enjoy San Fran. I lived in Northern Calif. for several years and going into the city was always a treat.

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance have lists of support groups in your area. I actually wanted to send you a little clip to make you smile, but I'm not savvy enough! I'll be right back....

OK, I've tried to link the film of your cousin to your comments, to no avail. So, I'll post it on my blog.

In the meantime, you should embrace your separation anxiety. It is a sign that you are serious about your recovery.

Hope you enjoy the video, Dano.

@WC
Thanks - yes, I am sort of looking forward to it, but also trying to make it through one day at a time until then

@Lola
That's the idea - that the trip will take my mind off V a little bit.

@AD
I think you're both right. The first 2 weeks will probably be the roughest.

@BorderLife
Yes. But work has settled somewhat. But there's only 2 more weeks to go! Dec 22nd is my last day at work.

@Clueless
I don't think I'm strong at all. But I guess that;s the way our brains want to think. I think YOU are extremely brave.

@Raspberry
Wish I could email you some summer! It's getting too hot for me here. So glad when I arrive in SF it will be cool!
I run terribly when it's hot. So I'm looking forward to getting some longer runs in when in SF.

@Disillusioned
Thanks :)

@Butterflies
Yup. Countdown officially on!

@Tamara
Thanks, Tamara. I prefer the cooler temperatures too. It's too bloody hot today!

@Dano
Thanks for the clip. I love Knut! Too bad he will soon be evicted from the zoo he is in currently.
